DEVELOPING EMPLOYMENT HANDBOOKS: ADVANCED CUSTOMIZATION
Our attorneys provide employers with a current employment handbook that is compliant with California and federal law. The first section of the employment handbook contains a comprehensive list of required and recommended employment policies. The second section contains employee benefits and leaves of absence. The final section contains policies pertaining to standards of conduct, including: protection of confidential information; customer relations, prohibited conduct; personal standards; safety, controlled substance restrictions, and corrective action.
Advanced customization is required to revise an existing handbook. The discounted initial rate for advanced customization includes four hours of attorney time. During an initial consultation, you will convey specific areas of concern and describe employment and labor practices specific to your business. From this information a customized employment handbook is crafted. During a second consultation, our attorneys provide clarification regarding the revisions, note additional requested changes, and answer questions. Following the second consultation, our attorneys provide follow-up research and policy changes on related employment documents, as requested.

In addition to the customized handbook, an Arbitration Agreement is provided as an addendum. Also, upon request, the following documents are available with the customized employment handbook: Employee Application Form; Employee Offer Letter and Agreement; Performance Review Form; Disciplinary Action Form; and Termination Form.

STANDARD COMPANY HANDBOOK: BASIC CUSTOMIZATION
Basic customization includes an initial telephonic consultation during which you provide basic business information, such as the number of employees and information about current benefit policies. Your employment handbook is customized to include the California and federal laws applicable to your business.
BASIC CUSTOMIZATION FLAT FEE: $250. Legal consultation exceeding the scope of the basic customization is available at our standard rate. Multi-state handbook preparation is also available. Please contact us for additional information.
